Sometimes, there is a man behind the man, and the man who provided motivation to Michael Jordan now has a shoe of his own.

The new Air Jordan 1 “Leroy Smith” takes cues from the most cliche of 90’s designs and themes, these Air Jordan 1′s use a black and gum sole, with a black leather base for the upper. Red leather is used on the top of the toe, collar and tongue, while gold is used for a big section of the rear upper. The mid-panel uses a two-tone striped pattern, mixing shades of blue. Gold contrast stitching is used around the midsole and toe cap.

Although this particular hybrid draws inspirations from both the Air Jordan XVI and the Air Jordan XVII, it seems to take more detail from the XVII. For example, the Air Jordan 16.5 possesses the double row of laceholders as well as a similar model shape of the Air Jordan XVI. However, it does own the patent leather toe box and midsole of the Air Jordan XVII. Other interesting details include the chrome-like outsole and the word ‘Jordan’ on the midsole heel in braille.

2008 was a year dedicated to packs or the “Countdown” to the Jordan 2k9. All the packs left fans begging for retros and a re- retro you will get. Maybe it isn’t the color way or even model you wanted but you cant deny its pretty darn impressive. The sleek black upper with hints of carolina blue looks exactly like the retro that released six years ago. Target release date is sometime in May.

Throughout 2008, Jordan Brand gave us retro pack after pack (pause) of some of our favorite sneakers. It remains to be seen how 2009 plays out; with that said, photos of the Air Jordan 5 “Raging Bull Pack” have surfaced on the web.

This pack in includes two exclusive colorways of the Air Jordan 5. One pair features a 100% red suede upper with red shoelaces, black eyelets and a black sole, while the other pair contains an all-grey upper with black accents on the eyelets, shoelaces and sole as well. Here is a quick strike that is a very limited edition of the Jordan 6 Rings.  This shoe has a good color scheme that makes this shoe desired by most.  We are receiving these shoes in bot men’s and boy’s so get them while you can.

At first we assumed it was another one of Jordan Brand’s attempts to take a classic sneaker (in this case the Air Jordan VII) and turn it into a fusion.  However, upon closer inspection, we learned that the True Flight is more than a watered down version of the Air Jordan VII, which released way back in 1992.  The Air Jordan True Flight updates the classic sneaker with newer technologies such as a flatter sole accompanied by Zoom Air along with herringbone on the out-sole to augment the cushioning and traction capabilities.  Even with the added technology, the silhouette of the shoe stays true to some of the fundamental aspects of the Air Jordan VII.

Jordan VII inspired True Flight in three colorways and the rest of two in March. Taking color cues from probably the greatest retro colorway, the True Flight will make be assembled in versions that resemble the “Cardinal Red” that were first released in 1992. This shoe clearly looks much like the Air Jordan 7 but is updated wish a flatter sole with herringbone traction for a better grip and Zoom Air for higher performance cushioning.
